The history of VOLLMER Werke Maschinenfabrik GmbH stretches all the way back to 1909, when founder Heinrich Vollmer first patented the construction of saw setting and filing machines. Over the next few years, the company worked diligently on improving the precision of the process of machining saw blades.
From the very beginning, VOLLMER has always targeted perfection in the production of cutting tools and saw blades of maximum sharpness and precision. In 1952, the company developed an innovative range of sharpening machines for carbide-tipped circular saw blades.
